Hi There! I'm Noah. I first ran for ANC in 2012 because I wanted to meet more of my neighbors and have a positive impact on my community. As your ANC Commissioner, I represent our neighborhood when city services aren't being provided adequately, when zoning and alcohol applications come to our neighborhood, and on broader policy issues, like parking and public safety.
I have lived in Washington since 2005 and after winning re-election in 2014 am beginning my second two-year term as ANC Commissioner. I also serve as the Dupont Circle ANC's Vice-Chairman and help lead our nine commissioners and one staff member in improving the lives of almost 20,000 Dupont residents. I served as Chairman in 2014 and 2015.
My professional and volunteer experience has helped me bring a unique perspective to the position. I work as a specialist in emergency medical services for the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, where I help develop national emergency care and traffic safety policies. I also administer a Federal advisory committee, so I understand the positive impact public input has on government. Not coincidentally, my focus on the ANC has been on transportation issues and public safety.
This is work that impacts every neighbor every day.
In my spare time I am a volunteer EMT with the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department in the City of Seat Pleasant, right on the DC border. I have two degrees from the George Washington University, including a Master’s of Public Health in Health Policy.
